At PixelGlow we realise that your expectations may exceed what any one company offers. That is why we strive to provide a service portfolio that covers a range of needs, from photography itself, through digital photo-processing and restoration, monitor colour-calibration, and tuition.

That is why every project is handled as a custom contract from start to finish. Communication is the key - working closely with our clients we pride ourselves in making sure no detail is overlooked, and regular updates are always available so that you, the client, has the maximum control possible over your budget and the deliverable for which you are paying.

PricingWhat is it going to cost me?

Although every client is different, and all our quotes are individually determined based on the requirements of the particular job in question, here are some rough guides to the costs involved in different services that we provide. All prices are exclusive of GST, and a tax invoice can be provided. Please don't hesitate to contact us for a more comprehensive and personalised quote.

  • Photoshop or Lightroom Tuition: $50 per hour + travel expenses. Generally $250 per half day, $450 per full day
  • Image Retouching: Dependent on complexity. For simple jobs (red eye, skin smoothing, blemish removal etc) $10 per image. For more complex retouching, this can be as high as $50 per image.
  • Event Photography $75 per hour plus travel expenses. This price includes web-ready photographs on CD. Print resolution photos are available at additional cost.
  • Family/Portrait/Child/Baby/Pet Photography: $50 per hour plus travel expenses. At a location of your choice, or we can come to your home and set up the necessary environment there.
  • Real Estate Photography: $250 plus travel expenses per property, to include interior and exterior shots processed and delivered on CD.
  • Abstract/Stock Photography: Dependent on assignment and usage requirements.
  • Monitor Calibration: $40 for the first monitor, $20 per monitor thereafter if calibrated on the same visit.
  • Web Gallery & Slideshow Creation: $50 per gallery or slideshow. Preferential rates if combined with another service (eg: photoshoot, retouching and gallery creation)

We pride ourselves on providing a personal, yet professional service to our clients, but it's always good to know a little more about someone...

PixelGlow was founded in early 2011 as a trading entity to handle the photographic service portfolio of the already-established company Gecko Visualisation Services Pty Ltd.

Its founder, Adam Hauldren, is an Adobe Certified Expert in Photoshop Lightroom, and has worked in 2D and 3D digital arts and education for over 16 years, providing high-quality services to the public and private sectors in Europe, the US, and Australia.

Originally a certified trainer of Microsoft products, Adam now prefers to provide tuition in graphics software with the focus on Digital Photographic techniques. Drawing on his personal and professional experience, Adam is able to provide customised classroom and individual tuition aimed at providing you with the skills that you require.

A keen photographer since the age of 10 when he received his first compact 110-format film camera, Adam joined the digital photography revolution 13 years ago, and has a wealth of experience in the entire digital workflow, from composing and taking photographs through post-processing and digital content management.

He now shoots with pro Nikon SLRs & lenses, and continues to be amazed at the fact that his mobile phone has a more full-featured digital camera in it than the first dedicated digital camera that he purchased in 1998!
